Joke: The story of a shy guy

I don't want to date around 9/10

I have alot of questions, so feel free to break them up and seperate them. First off, I have never gone out with a girl. This is because I only want to date one girl, andI want her to be the one I marry. So, as a rule, I won't date a girl unless I have been a good friend with her for at least six months...I decided that based on the idea that if we both love each otehr waiting that long won't be a problem...it will, however, reveal true love from a temporary crush or something. My question? A) Do you agree with me? B) How would you view me if you were a friend of mine? What is your reaction to a guy who has those standards? I am (not to be vain, but to give you my position) attractive. I have had one girl tell me that life was easy for me because I looked so good that I could just 'point-and-click' and have whoever I wanted. I have had several girls stop me and start talking to me that I have never met before. Besides that, I am (again, I don't want to be vain, just honest) intelligent...my I.Q. is 135, and that's not from an online internet IQ test. Alot of people tell me I am funny. And this creates a problem.....Alot of girls fall for me that I just want to be friends with. How do I convince them to just be my friend? This issue comes up alot, and I really don't want to break these girls hearts. In the past, two girls I did like liked me back for about a week- a month, and then I decided I wanted to be seirous about that relationship, and they told me they just wanted to be friends.....How do I not become the guy who they just want to be friends with? This ruined one of my friendships (akwardness). But this was before I decided to have such high standards on dating. And by the way, your advice to that guy who wanted to destroy that girls morals and get into her pants....that was perfect advice. I agree completely. Thank you....I think you do a good job on akswering these questions. email me your response please.
I can't tell you what all girls look for in a guy. We are complex creatures. But I can tell you this. If you haven't dated anyone, we take it as you're either gay or have some serious issues. To me, friendship and relationship are two different things. Many guys change as soon as you start dating them. You can't judge a person based on how good a friend she is. She may turn into a maniac the minute you start dating her. So I guess I don't fully agree with you, but I see your point and admire your standards. You answered the next questions yourself. In one paragraph you're asking how to convice a girl to just be your friend. In the next paragraph, you're asking how to take a friendship to the next level. Friends feel deceived and betrayed if there's a hidden attraction somewhere. Anyone who tries to take a friendship into a relationship is risking the friendship. My advice is, if you're attracted to someone, don't take your chances by hiding your attraction. Don't befriend someone if you know you're interested in more. Show it up front - it's a sign of honesty.
